I have frontpage 2003 on a server 2003 . I get the following message when I
use sharepoint admin and I try to recalculate the web

The server administration program and the server extension on the web
server are not compatable. The administration program is too old to use
with this server.

You have to use the HTML Admin pages.

Okay correct me if I 'm wrong. Typically I will go to IIS right click on
the web site. Go to all tasks and from there recalculate the fpse or do
whatever tasks I need to do. Now when I go to that area I only get save
configuation to a file. If I use the sharepoint admin area I can get to the
site I am trying to use but when I recalcuate I get the following message

The server administration program and the server extension on the web server
are not compatable. The administration program is too old to use with this
server.

What version of the FP SE (2002?) do you have installed?
In IIS when you select the root web and right click for properties do you have a FP2002 SE tab

I am running server 2003. When i select the web I do not have a tab for it.
The version of FPSE would be whatever comes with server 2003

If you would like to offer any help it would be appreciated but I think I
have answered that question already regarding the problem I am having with
the web admin interface

yes I have and the problem I encounter is that when I use Method 1 it takes
me to the admin page but as soon as I click on recalculate I get the
compatable/too old error.

When I use Method 2 I am not successful either. Is there a way to somehow
reset everything so that there is no record of the web admin for the site?

All I can say at this stage is that I have seen reports of issues with
FP2002 extensions and Win2003 that have so far been unresolvable. Sorry.
