Created webpage in MS Publisher XP. Initially all was ok now webpage won't
publish in open state.
Message I get is : You have submitteded a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function
properly.
This form or other FrontPage componenet will work correctly if you publish
this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
I have done - as far as I know - nothing different, so why this message and
failure to publish open?

Use FrontPage, not Publisher.

You have to publish via FrontPage to the server that has the FP extensions, and if the server is
configured to process forms and send email, then the form will work correctly.

Are you saying you're trying to Publish to your website with Publisher?
====
If you're Publishing to your host server with Frontpage via the File | Publish Web http:// method you should not get that message unless your server doesn't have the FP extensions installed.

How exactly are you Publishing...and you might as well post the URL to the site while you're at it
