FrontPage 2002 FORMS to Email

Bill Shafer

Hi... using FrontPage 2002... I am doing a simple form
and keep getting error messages that Front Page
Extensions are not installed... I have verified with my
hosting company that they are installed...
I get this error message when I try to save my form:
To make the form work, you should publish your website to
a Web server that has the FrontPage server extensions
installed. If you publish the page to your Web server,
then open the published page in your Web browser and
still get the [FrontPage Save Results Component] line,
then the server extensions don't exist on the Web server
and the form won't work. You'll need to contact your Web
hosting company, and ask them about installing the
FrontPage server extensions.

Also..when published...I get the error message:
FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work
correctly if you publish this web to a web server that
has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

also get this message on the form itslf.
[FrontPage Save Results Component

Do I need to install FrontPage Server Extensions on my
computer that I am using for FrontPage?

Can anyone offer help?

You will get that message if you are testing locally.

If you have published via FP's http mode to http://www.yourdomain.com and you see this message, and
you have set the form to send result to an email address, then you need to contact your web host as
they do not have the extensions configured on their servers to process email.

Hi Bill
Had the same problemsome time ago.Check your date & time properties on your
computer. If they are not accurate this could cause your problem.
Specifically the date. Had this problem with Tripod as my server. If not try
deleting all your files from the server and uploading again as this was their
two suggestions whivh worked for me
