Frontpage problem with displaying link graphics

D

Dan

I posted a new website to www.gastoniarfc.com. Most of the pages work
fine, but the header graphics and graphics for the links do not
display, though the links work. I talked to my ISP Bluehost, and they
said I had a problem with the _default folder. They cleaned it out a
couple of times and I republished the site, but I end up with the same
problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, we are a very
small non-profit group and need to DIY our website.

Thanks in advance.

Dan,
It looks as if the files haven't been published correctly.

For example, the first <img> tag is:
<img border="0" src="_borders/BOB.gif" width="162" height="209">

Looking for this file gives the message:
The requested URL /_borders/BOB.gif was not found on this server

There are many other references to files on the folders "_borders" and
"_derived"

I note that you do have one file (index_files/image001.gif) which displays
OK, if a little illegibly, on the folder "index_files".

I would normally put all the images on an "images" folder, but I notice that
you are using borders, so the "_borders" folder would be OK, I guess

Can you check that "_borders" and "_derived" do in fact exist on your server

Explain "Posted"
Did you publish w/ FP in html mode or upload using FTP
- if you uploaded using FTP you must upload all _hidden folders and their content (except those beginning with _vt*)

Thanks, Dan

I am sure Stefan hit the mark re publishing in html mode. I thought about
that *after* I had posted - don't we always ??
