Frontpage hangs on saving to certain folders

FP2003

I am having problems saving files directly to the HD. I cannot save then
into a folder under wwwroot though I can save into wwwroot. FP just hangs.
Staus bar message is "requesting data..." I have looked at permissions and
even given everyone full access but no luck. (I am trying to save directly
to cut out FPSE in case they were contributing to the problem)

Any help appreciated.

SharePoint Designer support )
Download links are at the bottom of the page.
Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.


Then since your web is in wwwroot which means you're using IIS,
open the site using http://localhost/webname

See if it helps.

You need to save via FP (http) into wwwroot or FP will not be aware that you have made changes to
your content.

Hi Thomas,

That is the problem. FP says FPSE are not there and various other messages
i.e. some problem with the file name etc, etc.

I understand how FP works using http, it just wont in this instance.
