Is there a way to make an invisible counter with Frontpage ?

Yes.
Make a 1 pixel by 1 pixel gif image and use it as the custom image when you
insert the counter.
The count is maintained in the pagename.htm.cnt file in the _private folder
which can be opened and read with notepad.

Hey Steve, you also give me a great idea, you could make little bitmap with
the
"SAME BACKGROUND COLOR" of the page !
