Frontpage client editing a STS site?

I've upgraded an IIs 6.0 site wi Sharepoint services. On the server,
and through a browser, I can update/edit the site using IE as you'd
expect.

However, I can't open/edit the site using Frontpage.

If I add the FrontPage extensions to a site, I can open/edit using
FrontPage w/o a problem.

Is there a trick to installing STS on IIs so that you can modify wi
Frontpage?

My apologies in advance if this isn't the right newsgroup for this
question. It's difficult to know what's what when two products don't
talk (and Microsoft's naming conventions don't help

1. This isn't a STS question as STS doesn't work with the standard IIS 6.0
nor is it called "SharePoint Services.

So you must be using Windows SharePoint Services not STS (=SharePoint Team
Services - 2001)

You need to remove Front Page Extensions before attempting to install WSS.
You can then add FP Extensions back after the install (there is a KB article
on this).
