FrontPage caused error in MFC42.DLL

Joanne

While working on my web site this error began showing up
when I try to open FrontPage 2000 : frontpage has caused
an error in MFC42.DLL. I have uninstalled FrontPage and
then reinstalled the program, but still receive the error
message and can no longer open the program. I looked up
the Microsoft Knowlege Base Article - 245057 and corrected
The Registry by changing the ValueData. After
reinstalling FrontPage again I still cannot open
FrontPage. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks - Joanne

MFC42.DLL is a Microsoft Visual C++
file which menas it "should" be part of Windows
Scripting Host.

Try repairing / reinstalling Internet Explorer.
To repair IE go to control panel >
Add /Remove programs, click once on Microsoft
Internet Explorer, click Add/Remove and the
repair panel will open. Select Repair, if it says
it does not need to be repaired, "Repair it anyway"
