Frontpage and expressionweb publish / ftp question

Since the decision to stop providing FP extension updates to
linux my host has decided that they will be stopping support
for FP and extensions installs and repairs in the near
future.

They have stated that use of the Plesk control panel (which
they also provide) will not be supporting FP extensions past
version 8.1 (?) so when this upgrade is done support will
cease. While upgrades of plesk will still enable use of the
extensions they consider that any re install will probably
remove the option as well

As I would like to stay with something I know I will
probably use Expression web.

In regard to the configuration of apache and plesk control
panels does expression web "publish" to the server, and so
keep track of page changes and so forth or does it use a
variation of (or) FTP

I have had a quick look at expression web but cannot seem to
locate this sort of specific info

thanks

Geoff

If the server has the extensions, then it will work like FP's http mode, if the server doesn't have
the extensions, then it will work like FP's ftp mode.

thanks Thomas

so there is nothing in EW that requires any specific server
side installs?

If I ftp into an apache server everything contained within
EW will work?
