Frontpage 2003 SP1 no longer prompts for username and password

After updating Frontpage 2003 to SP1 in will no longer prompt for a username
and password when doing file > open site. It will prompt when browsing to
the page in IE and selecting "edit in frontpage". Pre-SP1 Forntpage works
fine. Is there a fix for this?

Are you talking about opening the web on your local computer, or the remote
web site?

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

I've tried this and it still will not prompt for the userid and password.
I've also disabled and cleared autocomplete for passwords. Pre-sp1 works
fine.

If your site is in My Network Places delete it
Then also clear any FP Web cache files
- Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Reenable IE password retention
Open your web in FP File Open Site/Web by typing the URL as
http://www.yoursitename.com/
Or browse to the home page in IE and use File Edit w/ FP

If you are still not challenge have your host check the permissions on the site
