FrontPage 2003 Feedback Page

M

Mike

I've created a feedback page in FrontPage 2003. The
components on the page all appear to be working right -
except for the bottom of the page where I have Submit &
Clear buttons. When either button is pushed nothing
happens. I talked to my hosting company & they've
stated that the FrontPage server extensions are installed
& that I need to recreate the submit page using the
submission process that Frontpage creates, and then
republish your site. I just used the sample feedback
page & changed the wording & entered my email in the
settings for the submit button. I've got this page
online if it would help to see that I can send the link.

Thanks!!

"entered my email in the
settings for the submit button."

Please explain this. It sounds as if you have attempted to turn the submit
button into a mailto: hyperlink. You should have gone into the form
properties and changed settings there. (Right click anywhere in the form,
and choose Form Properties)

A link to an errant page is nearly always useful for diagnosing problems.

Begin by renaming the page..you're on Apache server...take out the spaces (%20) and use all lower case...you can use underscores instead of spaces.

Ok...now how did you create that form? Did you use FP to create the form, manually ...or drag it in from somewhere else...like Word etc.

try an experiment...just create a simple Form with FP...just a text field or two and let FP do everything (don't get fancy - in other words) and see if that form works.

I did it & it worked. I created page
http://www.airservicesco.com/sample_text_box.htm

It looks like on the survey page I created the "Form
Properties" does not show up when I right click the
form. I'll just have to recreate the page??

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the help!!

Great!

I'm thinking the existing page has some junk in it that shouldn't be there.

If it were me...I'd just redo the form...staying within FP's form parameters.

Robo
