FrontPage 2003 Crash with "Please contact app support team" message

When publishing a web with FP2003 the file listing begins
and then a series of chimes and then the following message
on a monolog box: "This application has requested the
runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact
the application's support team for more information.

FP is then gone.

Hints? Reinstallation did not work.
