I am a new user to Frontpage.

Under my home page, I have a shared border that contain
links that appear on all pages. Under one of my pages, I
would like to have an additional shared border with
additional links that only appear on the sub page(s).

Would someone please explain how to do this. Thank you.

Not possible to do with Shared Borders, as you can only have one set (Top, left, bottom, right) per
web. To add additional links for this section, you would need to use the FP Include Page component,
and insert it on the pages in this section outside of the shared border area.

you could use the 'included content' component for the extra menu bar on the
pages you wanted it for.

Under Insert (menu) > Component > Included Content > Page

it is basically an html page (or any file) that then gets included on the pages
that you insert it on.

sort of like shared borders but shared borders can only be used onced per page.

You could also use a standard 'include' e g <!-- #include
virtual="yourfile.html"--> at the place where you want the file contents to be).

Your isp needs to support Server Side Includes (SSI).

the frontpage include component works if you use Frontpage extensions (and from
experience without them as well).

if you were to edit _borders/top.htm for example, can you apply a shared
border.....to the shared border? (just out of interest - this is NOT advising you
to do it!).

No.
