Frontpage 2002 vs. Frontpage 2000

This question pertains to the site at
http://home.earthlink.net/~rcrrose/RoseCityRoamers/index.h
tm

It was created using FP2000. I have FP2002 running on Win
XP Home SP2. I copied the entire web from the server to
my hard drive. When I open any page that displays the
link buttons (those starting with Home and ending with
Information), these buttons do not display. If I update
the page and ftp it back to the server, they still don't
display. Also some of these .htm pages won't open at all:
I get System Exception: Access Violation.

I have a second pc running Win XP Home SP1 with a slower
chip. I installed FP2000 and copied the entire web to the
hard drive. Everything works fine.

What is it about FP2002 that's causing the problems
described above? I realize you may need more information,
but I don't know what else to provide. Thanks for the
assistance.

Re-copy it only this time do it by publishing from the server to your local
disk.
here are some instructions that will make it as unlikely as possible (imho)
that something will go wrong:

1. create a folder in "my documents" to contain your site

2. open FrontPage and click file/ close web (to close whatever web is
opened)

3. in FrontPage click file/ open and open the folder you made in step one
(this is to convert it to a FrontPage web)

4. in FrontPage click file/ close web to close the new "container" web in
"my documents"

5. in FrontPage click file/ open web and type in the url for the site you
want to take off the server (http://example.com) what you're doing in this
step is opening the "server web"

6. with the http://example.com web open click file/ publish web and
browse to the folder you made in step one (you may first want to click
tools/ recalculate hyperlinks).

7. when it's finished publishing just click file/ close web (to get off
the online web)

8. in FrontPage file/ open web and open the local copy in "my documents"
and you're ready to edit.

Sorry, I used an imprecise term. In all cases in which I
used 'copied', I meant that I ftp'ed the files from the
web site to the hard drive using WS_FTP 508LE.
