Frontpage 2002 Install Question

I originally purchased Frontpage 2002 about 5 years ago.I installed and
registered it.I was running windows ME on that computer.I didn't use it much
and have since changed computers.

I tried to re-install it today on my current computer.I can't remember my
username and info I used originally.I put in a new
username, initials, organization, and then my product key.I use the complete
option and the installation goes smoothly.Once the program is installed,I
cannot find it anywhere. No shortcut on desktop and no link in the start
up.The only place I can find it is in the add/remove programs.I have
un-installed and tried several times.

I am currently running windows XP.

I did find some of the files but the fp setup is from the original install
about 5 years ago.

I have downloaded all updates that microsoft has on their update page.

I cannot figure out if this is a registration problem or what is happening.

Thank you very much for your help.

Since I am currently running Win XP Pro and I have also had my FP2002
running under XP Home its not the basic OS at issue.

You are installing from your original cd-rom if I am hearing you right....
The only kludgy thing I can think of is to find the .exe file and create a
short-cut... put that on your desktop. If no one else has a better idea....
let me see its in: X:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\FRONTPG.exe I
believe, where the X: is the drive letter where your program files live.

Sorry I don't have a better/good solution. Once you have the short-cut you
can drag it onto the start button into the programs listing as well as the
desktop and/or the quick launch on the tool bar.

FP doesn't automatically put an icon on your desktop. Try Start, Programs
(expand the list so you can see everything) and look for FrontPage at the
end of the list or, if you have the rest of Office installed look in the MS
Office Folder. Then click on the icon and chose copy, then go to the
desktop and choose paste.
