FrontPage 2000 trashed my Office 2003

I just installed FrontPage 2000 on the same computer as my Office 2003 Pro.
This disabled my ActiveSync with my PDA, so I uninstalled FrontPage. Now I
cannot open any Office 2003 apps (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).

I get a message indicating that "The installation source for this product
cannot be found. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."
So I tried to reinstall Office 2003, then uninstall Office 2003, and got the
same message both times.

The problem is, all office applications share some common functionality for
their particular version. FP 2000 shares common components with the rest of
Office 2000. Word, Outlook 2003 also share common elements. When you
installed FP 2000, unless you unselected the common office components or
additional components, FP 2000 has now over-written the common Office 2003
components. Depending upon which software you have installed can depend upon
how badly the system is now messed up. What I've tried in the past was to
uninstall both the version of Office, and FP 2000 (you may need to install
ActiveSync as well since it could be holding information about Office as
well). Then find a good registry cleaner to try to go through and clean up
the unused keys now that the software is removed then reinstall FP 2000
(minus anything other than the basic FP program, non of the additional or
shared components), then the Office suite as usual plus anything else.

Hope this helps,

I think I got it resolved using the Windows Install Cleanup. I removed the
Office 2003, and it let me reinstall just fine.

Thanks.

Best to uninstall both, then install FP2000, then Office 2003 apps.
