Front Page Slow to Edit Long Webpage (With 3 Columns)

Mike Boeur

Hi. We have recently installed Frontpage 2003 and have
noticed a noticeable decline in performance speed from
our previous version of Frontpage (2000) in doing basic
text edits on a relatively long webpage static webpage
(40 - 100 rows).

We have found that small pages are fast and no problem,
but longer/larger ones like this are BRUTALLY slow (i.e
wait 5 seconds every time you make an edit).

Has anyone else experienced this or know a
workaround/solution?

Thanks. Mike.

Aside from the normal, get more ram, turn off things you
don't need etc.....
I hear your pain! For what its worth, I have an XPpro dev
computer 1gig ram w/p4 2.1 , its lightning fast! The
server I post to has 128 ram w/.6 ...I dread when I open
FP in that. I have been using FP and office since there
beginings and found that with each new addition it pays
upgrade my rigs...at least for development work.
