After several years of operation, I forgot what was need to complete the
authentication process for FP2003. I host out of my Windows Enterprise
Server. The original server crashed and now I have a new one. My site is up.
I am trying to make some subtle modifications to the site. When I am prompted
for a password, I enter my administrator password and it does not flag a
warning, it just does not open the site. Keeps holding the user ID password
site. No ingress. Help!

Is your Admin. userId and password the same that was set up in the FrontPage
extensions?
If so, try running Server Health on the site through the extensions
administration pages:
On the server-
Start button->Administrative Tools->Microsoft SharePoint Administration

Otherwise - use the userid and password set up in the extensions for the
site.

As far as I know. I signed into the sharepoint admin site, with my password.
I AM the administrator of the domain. When I launch my site, www.mysite.com,
it commes up with the login window, with my admin name and password, I press
OK and it simply flashes and remains. Do this 2 or 3 more times and the pae
comes up saying that "You are not authorized to view this page" yeehaw. I
remember having to call Microsoft to get this stuff squared away. Gawd it
cost.....$$$$
