front page 2003 error messages

what is the error messages 500 OR and 500 ST for in fornt page 2003? I can't
find anything or anyplace that has that error code listed. It comes up when I
try to publish my simple website.

It is a error message that is being generate from the server you are publishing to. Have you
contacted your web host?

Hi,

A 500 error normally means a critical error at the sever that stops it from processing the current page. If you are using IE turn
off friendly error messages to view additional details about the error.

At the top of the error message box it says front page error. I have
contacted the host and they said it was not a problem with their side. I was
told by another person off line that if I have the grid turned on in the
design mode that it could effect the publishing process. Do you know if that
would be true? I am not at the location of the site to be published, I will
be going there of Friday 4/8/05. I will be turning off the grid then to try
that.

The Grid option should have no impact on the publishing process, as it is a display function.
