I have a laptop and a machine at work and want to install
my new software on both. Do I have to buy 2 or can I
install and register 1 copy on both machines?

I believe the license lets you install a second copy on your laptop. To do
this you'll have to activate the first one, then when you install the laptop
you'll need to call customer service in order to activate (should give you a
phone #).
