i dont think so. XP and 2000 use differents
keys/license's. so u must have a valid copy of 2000 to
install it. and to downgrade u must do a clean install.
meaning u must wipe your hard drive clean first.

we do this a lot here, MS has told us that under our license agreements we
can do it like he described.
