From Field in Inbox

Is there any way to change the From field of emails sent to me, to a custom
name. I have many acquaintances who have set their 'From' name to something
unrecognisable and so was wondering if there was an option to view messages
in my inbox from this person as the name I have them down with in my Contacts?

i.e. I look at my inbox and see emails from 'The Wild One', but would like
to see them as 'Frankie M' for example

Hope that makes sense!

Cheers,
D

You can't control or change what your senders send to you.

Well you'd think they'd have come up with some option for that by now....you
can even add a nickname to someone in MSN Messenger to override their
name....so surely can't be that difficult to add it as an option in Outlook
if the sender in question is someone already in your Contacts...

IM and mail are so completely different that you can't begin to compare the
two.

What you fail to understand is that ALL of the data in the mail message is
coming from the sender. What you have in Contacts doesn't enter into it at
all. Outlook doesn't care one bit (not should it) whether or not someone
who sends you a message is in your Contacts folder.
