fresh install xp-pro (error loading os)

Fresh install--(mob---Ram ---cpu---harddrive) formated to ntfs run thu steup
files,load os files no problem.
When Pc boots after os files load when DMI pool data check system says
Error loading OS files keeps blinking. Check cables, ram DVD and CD burnner,
tryed 3 times to load os and same error.
AMD cpu 2.5 333-- 1 gig ram ddr2700.
any help with this, never ran across this, has me climbing wall.

Have you verified that any drives on the same IDE cable as your hard
drive are set cable select or slave, and that the drive you intend to
boot from is the master drive?

Also, Have you tried going into bios setup and forcing the bios to
boot from that drive? You should be able to select the primary boot
device from you boot menu

Only drive on IDE setup as CS, have tryed froce in bios to boot drive same
after Dmi pool same error loading OS

Have you tried running it on the second IDE channel?

When you did a fresh OS install, did you delete old partition first
then re-create it?, sometimes garbage stays around even after
formatting the drive. Also make sure NOTHING is plugged in besides
keyboard and mouse when doing install

Thanks for the come back,,,it was a fresh hard drive let xp disk run it to a
NTFS file---Key/Bd alone also.
