Frequent Errors on IE6 SP1

I am using Win 98 with a cable Hi-Speed connection which
installs IE6 SP1 as part of my cable Hi-Speed service. I
occasionally get a box with an IE6 error, saying that the
browser will restart when I click on "ok" + whether I want
to report the error to Microsoft. When I was using IE5.5
SP1 this rarely, if ever, happens. Why is this happening
with IE6? I suspect that IE6 works optimally with XP.

The 6.x line does not work well on Windows 98, 98SE, or Millennium
Edition (ME).

If you use Windows 95, 98 or ME and want to use Internet Explorer I
suggest using Internet Explorer 5.5 service pack 2.

I also use Windows 98 and had to get rid of 6.0sp1 by reverting to
5.0. I then installed IE5.5sp2 from a CD I got from
http://on-disk.com/ie55sp2.html for $3.
