Frequent error message when starting IE6 or when opening new pages

Frequently when I open IE6 I receive an error message
stating explorer has caused a fault in MSVBVM60.DLL and to
close the program then try again. When I choose OK, my
ststem then totally reboots. I also get the same message
frequently when attempting to open expanded pages. Any
help would be appreciated. I have already tried re-
installing IE6 but get a message that some se-up files are
missing.
