Freezing System !!!!

The pc has been freezing lately very frequently. In the middle of a game or
even internetting. Everything stops and the only alternatief will be the
plug out and starting afresh. Not a good idea though with this plug out
thing but fact is you get no choice. Nothing works at all. Any tips/ideas
appreciated.

Pentium 3; 800Mhz
128MB Ram / 20gb Hdd/ Integr Snd+Video.
Xp / Office 97 / Games (like Simms, HarryPorter)

Try using event viewer to see what has caused the problem.
If the cause is not apparent your best bet is reinstalling
Windows choosing repair. Your memory is a bit low for XP
but that shouldn't cause freezes. Make sure all drivers
are up to date.

.Check out this site,Indexing service can cause this

and you more than likely don't need it, disable it in
admin tools/ services
