Freezing of Browser

Melinda

Hi,

I've just converted to cable hookup, Roadrunner.
Suddenly, my browser freezes intermittently. Some links
are just fine, those with multiple internal links (home
page, link to internal page, link to another internal
page) tend to freeze. Sometimes it just freezes. I've
updated both my Windows and IE 6 with the latest updates.
STill it freezes, but the modem is still active.
Roadrunner says it is something to do with IE6 and to
contact you. I've read the articles, no help. So, here I
am. Oh yes, Outlook Express works fine with all of this.

First, you have not contacted Microsoft. You have reached a peer-to-peer
support newsgroup. We're all volunteers here.

Eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
