freezes when previewing print of document, used to work

This used to work fine, then yesterday afternoon, when
editing a new worksheet (preformatted blank), I add some
header information, type ok and then wish to see a print
preview. It sits awhile and then says low on systems
resources and usually have to power down and up the
system. This happens again if I do the same thing upon
restarting without accessing other programs, the document
will print out, only hangs if I say print preview?
System resources report over 80% free before the error
causing operation, spreadsheet is only 6 pages. Disk
space is 80% free also on 20 GB hard drive. It is Excel
2000. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Patrick,

Use Windows Explorer to search for all files on your hard drive with a
..XLB extension and delete them. Excel uses these files to store information
about toolbars, but they frequently become corrupted and cause problems like
this. Excel will create new versions of the .XLB files it needs as soon as
it starts up. Note that you will lose any toolbar customizations that you
might have made.
