freeze up problem

Francis Marsden

my computer has been freezing up lately, usually soon after startup/reboot
is completed. The only way to escape the freeze is to press the reset
button. Also noticed that the windows sound recorder says "not enought
memory to complete this operation, exit other programs to free up memory (or
something to that effect), even though I have four gigs of ram, fast
processor and harddrive, and not a huge number of programs running at the
same time. Suggestions?

a few things you can do:

1 - Create a new profile to see if the same thing happens in that profile.

2 - Use msconfig to stop all starup program from starting to see if the same
thing happens.

3 - Remove malware from system then try steps 1 and 2. This may help some

that are on this newsgroup.
