freeze panes both vertical and horizontal at same time?

on my spread sheet, I have the title I want to freeze. It is on row 1.
So I use freeze pane while row 2 is highlited. Perfect! Exactly what I wanted.
Now I want to also freeze the dates, which I have listed in column A.
So I go to column B to repeat the steps, Like I did in the rows.
But I no longer see the option to freeze the pane. It now only says "un-freeze pane

Is it not possible to freeze the panes both horiz. and Vert. ?? If so, How

Thanks in advance, oh Gurus

Sure. Just un-freeze> place your cursor where desired and re-freeze.
ie if you want to always show the 1st 3 rows and the 1st column place cursor
at b4.

This will work. First click unfreeze panes. Then place
cursor in cell B2, then click freeze panes. As you
scroll to right, col A remeins in view, and when you
scroll down. rows 1 & @ remain in view.
