Freeware to view Emails/newsgroup files from Outlook Express?

My computer crashed and I had to reload windows but could not access my old
emails and folders, but i retrieved all the files created. Mailnavigator
will do this but full version is not free and also I don't like the
interface/format. So I need to take my retrieved OE files and
search/open/organise my old emails and saved newsgroup files - ANY FREEWARE?

What about extracting mail and ng messages with DBXtract 4.50?
