Freeware format utility for MMC/SD (PocketPC 2002)

Anyone care to recommend a freeware utility that will allow me to format
MMC/SD cards in a PocketPC PDA (iPaq)

My recommendation would have been Softwinter´s Storage Tools, which was free
in the "normal version". Sadly it does not seem to be anymore.
Here´s a test version, maybe that helps (although in German):

Do not worry, the author page is in french, but in the program options
you can choose English

I don't recall that there was ever a freeware version. IIRC, the
regular version worked in a more limited state after the free trial
expired- youan stll format and scan, but you can't defrag unless you
register.

A worthwhile program for $15, but still useful if you don't buy it.

correct. But officially it was a free version when it came out, only the pro
version was commercial, and the only difference being the defrag
functionality....
