Does it work under Windows XP?

Is there similar free software (no spyware) that XP can run?
I want to share pictures with friends. I want to see thumbnails first before

Thumbnails? Sounds like maybe you and your friends want to generate html
photo album pages with thumbnails and run an http server. You can password
protect it, though I don't know how secure it would be even with that.
