Freeware bit torrent client

Could any of you guys recommend me a freeware bittorrent client? A
friend of mine recommended me shareaza, but it doesn't allow you to
select which files to download (in case you don't want them all), so I
was wondering if any of you knew any other one? The other one I was
recommended is Azureus, but it requires Java and I'm not so sure of
this one of installing a 100 MB program for Azureus, which is a 3 MB
program.

Thanks in advance

Shareaza is a peer to peer file sharing program but not a bit torrent.
I used to like Azurius but tried utorrent and like it better:

utorrent is a much smaller program than the popular Azurius but I have
yet to find any features that are lacking.

Yes, it handles bittorrent but it doesn't allow you to choose which
files to download, that's why I don't like it very much.

Yes, I have tried it and it doesn't require Java, which I would have to
install just for Azureus.

Thanks a lot for your help

µtorrent
http://www.utorrent.com/

+ 155Kb large file
+ no installation
+ Multi language
+ Multiple simultaneous downloads
+ Configurable bandwidth scheduler
+ Global and per-torrent speed limiting
+ Quick-resumes interrupted transfers
+ RSS Downloader
+ Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)

uturrent will allow you to pick and chose which files to download.

OK. It has been a few years since I used Shareaza. So I now know it
does bit torrents. I still think µtorrent would be hard to beat.
µtorrent doesn't require installation unless you want to use the
installer.
