Bit torrent

Can anyone recommend a good program that will allow me to use the bit
torrent network. I used bittorrent, then moved on to Azeurus, but with that
program i had to install a version of Java to enable it to work & now
somehow through this i've got the Trojan.ByteVerify virus on my pc so
obviously want to get rid of all of this. What i'm particularly looking for
is a program that i can restrict how much i'm uploading as Azeurus does. I
know this is against all that bit torrent stands for but i'm not on a
particularly speedy connection & it is a problem when half of my bandwidth
is being taken up by uploading. Can anyone help?

I don't think the trojan or virus came from Azeurus. Where did you
download from?

Some sites offering the newest versions ask you to drop your firewall to
download. Supposedly to keep people from stealing their links. If you
go to sourceforge and get the stable version you will be better off.
For the people who are sorceforge challenged, pick a location near you
and then click just to the left of the number 4492 on the little paper
with 0's and 1's on it.

I suspect the virus was from the Java that i installed to enable Azeurus to
work. I uninstalled the version of Java that i was using & installed the
latest version & did a scan and nothing was found. Seems to be ok now.
