It appears that its only for comparing ASCII files. Here's what the
website http://fcu.smibe.com/ReadMe.txt says:

FCU is a file compare utility for comparing text files. The compared
files are displayed in three windows: left file window, right file window
and an extra window were the composed file will be displayed.
Ver. 1.4 seems to be shareware.

I could suggest
WinMerge - I'm not sure if they have Word filters already, but I think
they will get one with time.
