freeCommander: virus checker alarm

Hmmm, when I install freeCommander and try and run it Avast AV finds a
virus in the application executable. I try and repair it but it can't do
it. The virus that it says it finds is Win32:prorat-I [Trj].

Has anyone else come up with this problem? The archive was downloaded
from the home site.

As always,

AVG didn't find anything when I downloaded it, and it still doesn't now, I
also got it from the home-site (last week).
Did you check with Ad-aware and/or Spybot S&D ?

First, counter check with another scanner, like F-Prot for DOS or one of
the online scanners (when the file is not to big for that). This might be a
false positive.

In case it is a false positive (so, the detected virus is not there) Please
contact the company that develops Avast. They have an e-mail address for
new viruses on their homepage, send an e-mail to that address mentioning
that you suspect a false positive and add a link to the download.

Then I'm not alone...
Here Avast has found Win32:prorat-I [Trj] in snico.exe, a good free icon
editor I've had on my computer since many months.
I've uninstalled SnIco Edit, but now I'm thinking Avast is having some
glitch.
It would be the first time, though.

I had a similar false positive with AntiVir. I reported it and got a
prompt reply that it was indeed a false positive and that they would
remedy in the next update.

I just got word from Marek at freeCommander, he confirmed that the Avast
warning was a false alarm positive, and that Avast would fix that problem.

As always,
