freebie for calculating work hours?

hello. I'm looking for some sort of program that I can jot down my work
hours into and give me the exact time worked at the end of the week in hours
and minutes.

I think this would be handy if you dont punch out right on the hour. I've
just been using notepad for now but maybe there is some fancy software out
there just for this?
