Freebie AV For Windows Home Server?

Avast doesn't seem to like my WHS.

Something about "You can install avast only on Windows NT4 with
Service Pack 4 or higher. It cannot be installed on NT Server."

Anybody have a freebie that they're happy with under WHS?

There are no freebies to be used on NT Based Servers.

Well, Comodo has one for Windows Server 2003 so it probably would work on
WHS, but I don't think they have a product specifically for it.

Per Brian Cryer:

server version, but somebody has told me that Avgas offers a WHS
version for $40 per year.

The latest version of NOD32 Antivirus reportedly runs on WHS (per ESET
and various forums), and is reasonably priced. I cannot personally
verify this, however, as I have not yet installed it on my server (I
currently allow NO external access to my WHS.)

You may already know this, but per the various forums I frequent, you
should *not* assume that any antvirus which is compatible with Server
2003 will also run properly on WHS (even though the current version of
WHS is based on Server 2003).

Per Frankster:

The lowest priced Anti-virus program I've found that will also protect the
client side of servers is Trend Micro Officescan. It is an exceoptional
product and I have been using it for years. Although you have to buy a
minimum of 5 licences (from various on-line sources) the price per machine
is around $60/per for the initial purchase and around $40/per for annual
subscriptions. I use and recommend it all the time for my IT clients.

Centerally mannaged too. Very nice product.

You might have noticed that MS has sarted using it now for their
live/hotmail accounts.

I used Trend Micro's PC-Cillen for some years.

They're also using Trend Micro at the large mutual fund where I
work.

But my personal experience with Trend Micro support was so
miserable that I dumped it.

Probably a different story for corporate users... but my
experience as a lone retail user was the pits.
