Free space on hard drive

I have had XP for just a few months. I have 60 GB in C drive. I was womdering how could it show that i have only 16 Gb free space left when i only have about 100 songs and just a handful of pics downloaded. I ran system restore a few times this week, and it ran very very slow.What coulkd be causeing so much space used?

When was the last time you defragged?? last time you ran cleanup??
or the last time you deleted any restore points which can take considerable
space???
How many different programs do you have on that drive??
100 songs must take up between 3 to4 gig
Maybe its time to purchase a 2nd HD

Sequoia View is an excellent free tool for figuring out what files are
taking up how much space where on your drive.
