A free personal edition of OverflowGuard for Windows NT4, 2000, XP, and 2003
has been released. The OverflowGuard Personal Edition
protects Internet Explorer and all Active-X controls it uses from stack
buffer overflow exploits. The protection is provided by making the stack
non-executable. You can download this free tool from
http://www.datasecuritysoftware.com .

The OverflowGuard Personal Edition targets stack buffer overflows like the
one announced August 20th, 2003 in the BR549.DLL Active-X control.
The link to the Microsoft bug information is

This is very nice, but a bit misleading. When you visit your website, it
is a free download (a 30 day trial). If you are going to list a 'free'
tool.. how about letting people know it is a free download of a 30 day
trial. IT is NOT a free tool. I don't think Russ wants this list to be a
free advertising/misleading list. While your product may be good, you
sure lost my business by not being honest with us.

I'll echo these comments.
