free adaware?

can anyone tell me what and where to get the best free download of an adaware
killing/fixing prog./tool? i tried one that i thought was free but all it
did was scan my computer, show me 42 items needing "urgent" attention, then
tell me, basicaly, $$ or s.o.l.!! i have heard of great free ones, just
dont know what or where they are! can anyone help?

Download, install, run, update and run again. They are all
good, FREE utilities. Make sure you update every program, even if you

I'll assume you mean "Adware", not "AdAware"? AdAware is an
adware/spyware product and it works well. They're at
lavasoft.com if your'e interested. Then there's Spybot Search
and Destroy, WinPatrol, and many others that are free.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly wiht a good list of
software freebies for spyware/adware/malware protection. The
three above are the main ones that I use but there are many
others just as good. This is one case where many makes for
might.

uninstall (Beta 1), first before installing (Beta 2) program? Thanks for any

You should uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware before installing
