Free Ad Supported MS=Software

I found out that microsoft is thinking about releasing some apps as
ad-supported. office software and the operating system

any thoughts..

They are scared of Google, among others.

More people will move to Linux and OpenOffice.org. I believe that MS
will abandon that idea.

Irrelevant because the issue here is whether or not advertising is going
to be shoved down your throat. That doesn't happen (at least YET) with
OO.o and most distros of Linux.

Saying "there is no escape" is defeatism at its worst. Never say "never".
