I was using Windows Movie Maker to edit some video and
the software quit responding so I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to
view the task manager. It would not load so I hit those
keys about 5 more times. Then my computer screen flipped
UPSIDE down!!! I finally got the program closed and I
restarted my computer. It still loaded the desktop upside
down. I am running a virus scan to see if it is a virus
but nothing has been found so far, and I do not think it
will b/c I was not on the internet at the time. If you
have any idea of what could have happened and how I might
fix it please let me know.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I only know about a Nvidia graphics card. Do a handstand!!
and go the graphics card properties..go to NVRotate which
allows you to flip the screen. Hope this helps.

I have had this happen a few times with various cards. I have found the
easiest way to correct the problem is to get into device manager and remove
the video card. I then reboot the system and let it redetect the video
card. That has fixed it for me.

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del five more times and see if it goes back. ;)

Seriously, it's not a virus, you need to look at your display adaptor
properties for the hotkeys that do screen rotation which you
accidentally hit while mashing Ctrl-Alt-Del.

For future reference, many times the system is just awfully busy and not
really frozen, especially doing intensive work like video editing, and
you need to be patient and not start clicking and stabbing keys in
frustration. It's just a machine, but go ahead and swear at it, just
don't mash keys if you can help it.
