the picture on my monitor is flipped upside down each time i start my
computer. i know how to cure the probelm temporarily (go to hardware, device
manager, dispaly adapters, uninstall, reboot, reboots in safe mode, loads
display adpater, starts up again, and it's fixed), but i would like a
one-time fix, so it doesn't take me 10 minutes each time i start up my
computer

Look for any control on your monitor which would do that, and reset if you
find one. If not....

Start, control panel, display, settings, advanced and nose around a bit, it
depends on your monitor.

Hi

Try this:

Right click the Desktop, select Properties>Settings>Advanced. See if there
is a setting in there to rotate the screen back to normal. If you have
Nvidia software installed try clicking on the tab for your graphics card and
have a look for NVRotate on the left hand side.

If you do have an Nvidia card there may be an icon in the Notification Area.
If so, right click on it, select Rotation Settings and then set it to 0
degrees.
