Framework version 2.0 Problem

Does ver 2.0 replace 1.1 or do we need both? Will programs written for
ver 1.1 run using ver 2.0?
I have problem where my 1.1 solution is no longer running after I
installed v2.0 and removed v1.1.
Any comments?

PROmotionware, shareware, spyware, time-limited software, trialware,
viruses or warez please.
 
its not only MS that is bloat.... practically all software is growing to
huge files with processes that want to run in the background, adding
services, shell extensions, internet explorer objects....... you get a
super fast computer and after installing 50 programs the pc is slow as a
snail....
