Frames page question

I'm creating a new frames website at work (my boss likes frames so the
buttons are always visible on the left side. I hate frames myself ;o)).
Anyway, I don't have a problem linking to a page as long as I have a button
on the left frame. My problem is that I want to link pages from another page
but can't figure out how to get it to open in the same frame. Here is a link
to the website we now have (below). If you click on "listings", you will see
numbered links to other listing pages. They work fine but I can't figure out
how to do that on the new website we are doing. Thanks very much for any help
and advice. www.powellre.com

Your boss might like frames, but does he realize that they interfere with search engines.

As for the links:
<p><font face="Helvetica,Arial" color="black"><a href = listings.html>1</a> &#124
<a href = listings2.html>2</a> &#124
<a href = listings3.html>3</a> &#124
<a href = listings4.html>4</a> &#124
<a href = listings5.html>5</a> &#124
<a href = listings6.html>6</a>

The &#124 is the pipe between the numbers.

No, he doesn't know that. He just knows what he likes. Thanks, I'll try this
on my practice site. I think he is going to keep the one he has for now
anyway. I'll keep working on the new one for now.
You guys are great! Thanks again!

Glad to help.

You might want to tell your boss that those nice "frames" will prevent the search engines
from ever finding those really nice $300,000.00 real estate listings, and ask him what's
more important:

Selling houses, or seeing pretty link buttons that don't move when a page is scrolled??

I know what I'd go for.
