Frame Sizes Not Sticky

My screen resolution is only 800x600 so when I search in Google Groups
and click on "View Thread (x articles)", text in the right frame does
not fit (must scroll to read the whole line).

I can fix this by finding the place between the frames where the
curser turns into a double arrow and dragging to the left, but each
time I open another thread I have to go through this procedure again.

Is there any way I can make my preferred frame size settings
permanent? I don't mind making registry changes if you tell me what I
need to do.

I don't think there's anything you can do about this Bob.. .no registry
setting that I know of.

Thanks for the reply, Sandi. While this is not a critical problem, it
is a significant inconvenience so I'm dissapointed to hear that
nothing can be done. (I'll continue to monitor this thread for a
couple of days in case someone comes up with something.)

Do you know if Microsoft has a place where users can leave suggestions
for future features/enhancements to IE?

Might be simpler to just click off the thread pane.
Alternatively, if you have IE5 Web Accessories installed
you could use its right-click Open Frame in New Window command
and press F11 for the same effect.

Good luck

Thanks for the tip, Robert. A quick Google search located the Web
Accessories you mentioned on the Microsoft site, but I'm a bit
concerned about their prominent comment,
"Note: This download is only for Internet Explorer 5.x."

Are you using these with IE6? If so, have you noticed any problems?

A few of them don't work "out of the box" but there are workarounds
or fixes available for them all.

Jim Byrd occasionally publishes a complete list of such adaptations.
Do a Google Groups search for:
