FPSE Server set up

T

Tony Adams

Hi,

Could anyone tell me where I should post this question please ?

Question;
I am trying to set up Frontpage Server extensions on a Microsoft SBS 2003
(small business server) and I am struggling as when I try to publish the
site to the server I get an error message telling me that the front page
extentions are not installed.

I don't understand this and don't know how to install the front page
extensions even though I have been through several on-line tutorials.

Can anyone help me please ?

Thanks in advance.....

Tony

When you install IIS also select The FP Extensions.

You need to install FPSE at the server. In in earlir Win versions you do
that with the Add Programs applet in the control Panel. In Win2003 you
have variou ways of installing Windows Components. Another way is
through the Manage My Server where you select the server roles and the
components.

google for "Windows 2003 Server how to install Frontpage Server
Extensions" w/o quotes.

Th need files and should be aready on the hard drive where the Windoews
CD Rom insatall files are copied for convenience.
