I recently upgraded from FP2000 to FP2003 and am finding FP2003 extremely
slow. For instance creating a simple new page with just a small amount of
text will take 5 minutes to save.

My information - FP2003 in Windows 200 - large website making extensive use
of includes (often nested) - maintained on local computer - published to
ISP - I have turned off recalculation of indexing on contents page.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

1.. Delete the cached (and possibly corrupted) copies of your webs - Close
FrontPage, and do a Find | Files and Folders | Named *.web, and delete them.
2.. Delete your FrontPage Temporary Files - With FP running and your web
open, Tools | Web Settings | Advanced, delete Temporary files.

Thank you. I have tried that and the problem persists. There is much disc
activity any time a page is saved as though a "recalculate hyperlinks" is
being performed. Small webs do not present this problem. FP2000 often would
not display nested includes properly but would save them quickly and the
result was correct when published.

Do you have a Table of Contents page in your web? There is an option
Recompute Table of Contents when any other page is edited - try turning that
off.

This is off - i have even tremporarily removed the page. Maybe I have
accidently inserted another table of contents somewhere. Is there an easy
way to search for this?
